This series on “Women” focuses on the photographes purchased at garage sales and antique shops.  Most of these are from the 1940’s and 50’s. I am not so much interested in the posed photo as I am with the women who didn’t know the camera was on them.  I am curious about their story, identity, and the culture around them that shaped who they could or couldn’t be. The assemblages are layered interpretations of these photographs.

Inspiration for what I am working on currently.  I will be focusing on the woman in the background looking to her left.
